Roadieworld.org – the audio design universe

Earlier this week the new “old” project Roadieworld saw its new website unveiled. After almost 6 years of absence on the Net this project has re-emerged as a new repository for resources related to professional high-level audio design in the live show industry. Roadieworld started its life back in 1996 as a broad online publication for the live lighting and sound industry. During a tumultous 6 years, until 2003, it served reviews, technical articles and reports from major live events. Since then the site has been offline as well as us loosing the original .com domain.

This month saw the site return, now with a fresh .org denominator and will focus solely on aspects of high-end sound design. Some of the articles from the original magazine will be re-written and published here but mainly the staff of Roadieworld are drafting new and original material for the near future. As all 42live projects, Roadieworld is a non-commercial projects with mainly volountary staff and we are always open to suggestions and help in editing the publication. Visit http://www.roadieworld.org for more information.

Meanwhile we will implement an easier approach to this site, including a gallery of projects, descriptions and latests news section. It will be at bit messy since these are busy times with a move to Berlin from London, several projects both in Germany and abroad, as well as, almost all web projects growing and developing as we speak! The outcome of all this are several exciting projects to come this summer!
